How Is The Choir Organised?

The Yarra Ranges Children’s Choir has three ensembles which currently rehearse as four groups.

Training Choir—Golden Whistlers and Eastern Rosellas
These two groups cater for children aged 5 - 8 years, teaching basic musicianship and vocal production through games and musical activities.

Concert Choir
This ensemble caters for children moving up from the training groups and also for older beginners.  Children continue to develop musicianship and vocal technique in a fun setting.  A wide range of choral repertoire and skills are introduced.

Chamber Choir
Children who are very skilled AND committed are invited to join Chamber Choir.  They are challenged with repertoire demanding advanced musicianship, vocal and choral skills.
